Let's Get Away: Springhill Suites in Navarre Beach

One season of athletics in our house has ended and we are on the brink of the next season starting. The boys will start soccer and flag football in a few weeks which will have our weekends held hostage until the middle of May. We will celebrate 15 years of marriage in May but we decided to celebrate early since soccer/flag football life and also it’s hard to get these new grandmas to sit still. 

While the boys spent Spring Break with my mom and aunt, we skipped off to Navarre Beach. As Marriott members, we stayed at the Springhill Suites right on the beach and it was beautiful.

We marveled at the full moon and ate some amazing food:

District Steakhouse in Pensacola (I ordered the Scottish Salmon Oscar, Bourbon Sweet Potatoes, and Asparagus. For dessert I got the District Dome).

Beach House Bar and Grill, which is on the hotel property (I ordered the Sticky Chicken with the Cilantro Lime Rice and Slaw).

Crabs on the Beach in Pensacola (I ordered a few pieces of sushi and the Catfish Seafood Platter. For dessert we shared the Death By Chocolate Cake).

Casino Beach Bar and Grill, in Pensacola (I ordered the Fresh Catch Reuben, fries, and a bottle of the 2020 Minuty Cotes De Provence Rose).

We haven’t had a chance to get away (to a different state) just the two of us since June 2021. If this pandemic has taught us anything it’s to stay flexible.

What matters most is the quality time we were able to spend together even if life is totally different than what we’d imagine it would be [by year 15] when we were some 20 something’s falling in love.
